My First Camera Kit – Out Of The Box

greg-bright-photography-sony-camera-kit

Thanks to all of my photographer friends for your help in starting this adventure.
It’s not easy deciding on what camera system (brand) you’re going to go with. It’s like a marriage. It’s a big, long term (hopefully) investment. You pretty much need to stick with whatever brand you choose. They are all great. I’m just more familiar with the Sony brand (and all their quirky menus… on everything they make!) It’s all good. Over a year of research and LOTS of questions for my friends I think I wore ’em out : )

My goal was to carry one camera and one lens and make it bulletproof. Many of my photographer friends advised against this, saying that I needed at least two lens. Maybe so, time will tell. My current path is to focus on intimate landscapes. I don’t even know what that is, but it just sounds right to me. 16-35mm seems to capture what I see and feel… and what I want to share.

Hopefully the generous 115MP RAW files will translate well into larger prints….

Dry Bags on top of dry bags, on top of rain protectors… with large bags of desiccant… Kase Revolution Filters, Leofoto Tripod. Parachute pants – BIG POCKETS ROCK!

SUPER BIG Shout Out to David Busch’s Sony Alpha a7R IV Guide to Digital Photography book. Wow, one of the best written technical manuals I have ever read. Great job on organizing a super complex system, along with his personal setting recommendations and why…. The author knows this camera intimately (no affiliate commissions are earned here… yet anyway)
